Under the partnership agreement signed on January 1, 2025, the Samaritan Association of Georgia (SSK), in collaboration with ASB Georgia, is implementing the Psychosocial Support Component of the Cash & Care project. This partnership is grounded in mutual trust and a commitment to providing accountable, high-quality services to vulnerable populations.
The project supports and strengthens Hresnics's (community-based social workers) work and aims to enhance the quality of psychosocial support and community-based care for beneficiaries across Georgia.
Scope of Work
1. Psychosocial Support Services
SSK delivers both individual and group psychological support sessions for project beneficiaries in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. The component also includes clinical supervision for mental health professionals to ensure service quality, ethical conduct, and emotional sustainability of practitioners.
2. Training & Capacity Building
Regular training sessions and skill development workshops are organized for Hresnics, focusing on psychosocial care, communication, conflict resolution, and ethical principles. These take place across all three project locations.
3. Monitoring of Hresnic’s Job Performance
SSK is responsible for monitoring the performance of Hresnics in Batumi, Kutaisi, and Tbilisi, including:
• Observing field-level engagement
• Evaluating service delivery standards
• Providing feedback and coaching for continuous improvement
Through this initiative, SSK plays a key role in enhancing the well-being and mental health of vulnerable communities while strengthening the professional capacity and accountability of frontline social workers.
