About Us

SSK strengthens communities through compassionate care, inclusive support, and sustainable development.

Since our founding, the  Samaritan Association of Georgia (SSK) has worked to empower vulnerable individuals and families across Georgia through person-centered care that promotes dignity, equality, and resilience.

We provide social services, psychological support, early intervention for children, and protection against gender-based and domestic violence. Our multifunctional centers offer holistic, community-based support delivered by skilled professionals.

Through partnerships with local and international organizations, we ensure accessible, high-quality services. We also run awareness campaigns, training programs, and self-help groups to promote social responsibility and build safer communities.

Guided by compassion, respect, transparency, and innovation, we are committed to creating lasting, positive change.

Discover the journey of SSK

from its humanitarian roots in 1992 to becoming a nationwide leader in social services, empowerment, and community-based care in Georgia.

1. 1992 – Establishment and Strategic Partnership

The Samaritan Association of Georgia (SSK) was founded during a national crisis to deliver humanitarian aid and youth support. It initiated a long-term partnership with ASB Germany, marking the beginning of decades of cooperation.

2. 2010 – Organizational Renewal

With the support of ASB Germany, SSK was re-established as an independent, nonprofit, and nonpolitical organization, reviving its mission to support vulnerable populations.

3. 2011–2014 – Establishment of Social and Psychosocial Services

SSK launched home care centers for elderly people in Tbilisi, Telavi, and Gori, and introduced psychosocial support services for hospitalized children. These services laid the foundation for community-based care.

4. 2013 & 2017 – Establishment of Early Intervention Centers

Early childhood intervention centers were opened in Lagodekhi and Gori to support children with developmental needs and their families.

5. 2014–2020 – SSK Sport Initiative

Through sports projects in rugby, football, and judo, SSK promoted inclusion, resilience, and youth empowerment in vulnerable communities and conflict-affected regions.

6. 2020 – Launch of Food Delivery Service

SSK’s home care team began providing regular food aid to low-income families in Gori Municipality, addressing food insecurity at the community level.

7. 2022–2025 – Support for War-Affected Ukrainian Refugees

SSK launched a multi-year program offering psychosocial services and GBV/DV support to Ukrainian refugees in Georgia.

8. 2024 – Establishment of Women’s Empowerment Centers

Centers were opened in Batumi and Zugdidi, providing safe, confidential support and counseling to women in crisis across Adjara, Guria, and Samegrelo.
