Partnership in Action - Caring Beyond Borders
Partnership
International Partnerships
The Samaritan Association of Georgia (SSK) is part of a broader international effort to promote solidarity, quality social services, and humanitarian cooperation. Through decades of collaboration, SSK has developed strong ties within European Samaritan structures.
Partnership with ASB Germany and ASB Georgia
SSK has a long-standing and transformative partnership with the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) Germany, dating back to the early 1990s.
Since 2010, this collaboration has expanded through the presence of ASB Georgia, the country office of ASB Germany.
Together, they have implemented impactful projects, including the Gori Home Care Center, Early Intervention Centers, and capacity-building programs in first aid, disaster preparedness, and elder care.
Part of the International Samaritan Cooperation (ISK) Network
Since 1992, SSK has been a proud participant in the International Samaritan Cooperation (ISK) - a regional network of partnerships between ASB Germany and Samaritan organizations across Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe.
The ISK began after the collapse of the Soviet Union, supporting humanitarian relief and gradually shifting toward the development of sustainable social services and the strengthening of civil society structures.
Today, the ISK includes 13 core partner organizations and over 30 ASB branches, including those in Georgia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, and the Balkans.
Member of Samaritan International (SAM.I.)
SSK is also a member of Samaritan International, a Europe-wide umbrella network of 17 organizations from 16 countries, co-founded by ASB Germany in 1994.
Through this membership, SSK engages in cross-border learning, joint initiatives, and solidarity actions with fellow Samaritan organizations.
SAM.I. and ISK maintain regular cooperation, reinforcing shared humanitarian values and operational synergy.
Local Partnerships
The Samaritan Association of Georgia (SSK) collaborates closely with municipalities, coalitions, civil society organizations, and healthcare providers to implement high-quality, community-based social services throughout the country. These partnerships are essential for ensuring sustainability, outreach, and impact.

Gori Municipality
Since 2016, Gori Municipality has co-financed the Home Care Center, contributing to its daily operations and supporting the food assistance program for vulnerable elderly citizens.
Lagodekhi Municipality
Since 2019, Lagodekhi Municipality has supported the establishment and continued operation of the Early Intervention Center, helping to ensure accessible services for children with developmental delays and disabilities.

with Senaki and Tsalenjikha municipalities to strengthen local responses to gender-based violence (GBV) and improve referral systems for survivors. These partnerships support outreach, awareness, and access to psychosocial services.
