Under the partnership agreement signed on January 1, 2025, the Samaritan Association of Georgia  (SSK), in collaboration with ASB Georgia, implemented the Psychosocial Support Component of the Cash & Care project. This partnership is grounded in mutual trust and a commitment to providing accountable, high-quality services to vulnerable populations.
The project supported and strengthened Hresnics's (community-based Ukrainian social workers) work and aims to enhance the quality of psychosocial support and community-based care for beneficiaries across Georgia.

Scope of Work

1. Psychosocial Support Services

From February to December 2025, the project provided psychosocial support to 301 beneficiaries, including 210 unique individuals, reflecting both new outreach and continued engagement. Services included 30 group sessions (165 participants) and 136 individual consultations addressing more complex needs.

A combined approach of group and individual support ensured broad access while offering tailored assistance, contributing to improved well-being, resilience, and continuity of care.

2. Training & Capacity Building

As part of capacity building, staff from Hresnics and Nest of Hope in Batumi, Kutaisi, and Tbilisi participated in 7 professional training sessions to strengthen psychosocial support skills.

Trainings covered communication and conflict management, stress management, Psychological First Aid (PFA), GBV/DV response, and burnout prevention.

These efforts improved staff capacity, well-being, and the overall quality and sustainability of psychosocial services across all locations.

3. Monitoring of Hresnic’s Job Performance

Monitoring and follow-up were conducted across Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi through calls and in-person visits. A total of 485 monitoring actions were carried out, including 198 calls and 287 visits.

Activity was highest in Tbilisi and Batumi, reflecting greater service demand, while Kutaisi maintained consistent engagement. Regular monitoring ensured continuous follow-up, timely identification of needs, and quality service delivery across all locations.

4. Conclusion and Impact

The project established a structured and responsive psychosocial support system across all target locations, combining group sessions, individual consultations, and continuous monitoring.

This approach ensured broad access, sustained engagement, and continuity of care. High repeat participation reflects growing trust and awareness of mental health support.

Overall, the project strengthened beneficiaries’ well-being and resilience while enhancing service quality, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
