The Gori Early Intervention Center, operated by the Samaritan Association of Georgia (SSK), was established in 2018 with the support of AMINA, the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), and ASB Germany. The center was created in response to the urgent need for timely and specialized services for infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities.
In 2019, SSK was officially registered as an early intervention service provider in Gori, marking a significant step forward in the development of inclusive, child-focused care services in the region.
The center offers comprehensive, family-centered support to children from birth to 7 years old, helping them reach their full developmental potential during the most critical years of growth. Services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including psychologists, special educators, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
By providing early, individualized interventions, the program strengthens children's cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development—while empowering families with the knowledge and tools they need to support their child's progress at home and in everyday life.
The Gori Early Intervention Center plays a vital role in preventing institutionalization, promoting inclusive education, and advocating for the rights of children with developmental needs. Through close cooperation with local health and education services, SSK ensures that children and families receive coordinated, quality support that truly makes a difference.
